Beating Jack Frost

Its that time of year again!

The nippy weather will undoubtedly turn to freezing conditions at some point over the next four or five months, and with it comes the prospect of frozen pipework and all the hassle that can bring for Site Management and Operatives alike.

Insulation alone provides no guarantee of protecting your pipework from freezing weather conditions. We highly recommend a combination of trace heating and insulation to ensure, as far as is practicably possible, that frozen pipework does not become an issue on your construction site this winter.

For Tanks and Booster Pump Sets, we recommend that they are positioned to ensure that no pooling of water can occur around the base of the tank. Additionally, we recommend and offer the supply and installation of insulated timber housings with inbuilt infrared heaters that operate on a thermostat in response to freezing weather conditions.

Prevention is key here, especially where essential facility's such as welfare and/or site water supplies are at risk of being compromised.
